Every town in Puerto Rico has a unique beauty and enchantment. You will find clear waters, sunny days, water sports, scuba diving and delicious sea food in Lajas. That is why Yean and Ben trusted WeddingWaysPR to celebrate their underwater wedding ceremony and bring to reality their profound wedding inspiration in La Parguera. An inspiration dream wedding come true.

Hotel Villa Parguera
Finding the perfect spot in Puerto Rico was a challenge since the island is surrounded by beautiful blue, clear waters. We chose La Parguera. It is located in Lajas, Puerto Rico. This town is small and convenient with a variety of sea experiences that include catamarans, kayaks, bio bay and water sports. The bride and groom were excited!
The main venue of choice in Lajas for this underwater wedding experience was Gina’s @ Johnny’s boats located in La Parguera. With over 30 years of experience, Gina’s @ Johnny’s boats counts with a full service catamaran that is available for weddings, events and tours.
As we continued our planning for the bride and the groom, as well as getting our team of vendors for the wedding experience we contacted Edwin Solano, a local top photographer renowned internationally. He knew how to step it up a notch with an idea full of adventure and adrenaline. Solano said, “let’s do scuba for the ceremony!”
Everything in La Parguera is walking distance so we bumped into Paradise Scuba. This store offers everything you need for scuba and more. Our scuba experts were amazing and thanks to them this was all made possible.

The bride was ready, as well as the groom.
They were both looking fabulous with Xiomara Simó Atelier bride dress and the groom by Angelo’s Tuxedo & Men’s Boutique. It was all in the details! Natalia Liriano designed the underwater bouquet & boutonniere with a boho chic tropical feel; and nonetheless perfect for the occasion, silver hand crafted wedding bands by Joel Massari.

Next in the rundown was to the catamaran. Our first stop was Mata La Gata island. Solano enjoyed taking more photos and Joel droned and gathered more memories right along in the island’s wooden L-shaped deck in Mata La Gata island spots.

We took advantage of the beautiful weather and got creative with a spur of the moment land wedding celebrated by Cuca Gesualdo. We placed a round table with a white wash-out chandelier and the open sea served as background for our land ceremony.

Next was the wedding cake and the dinner set up in a coral-colored wood bench table that served as setting. Cake was designed by Dulce Inspiracion and intimate dinner by private Chef Sarah Rosario.
Ben & Yean looked warm, happy and perfect for each other. They made each moment theirs forever. In fact, they love the ocean and couldn’t be more excited to go underwater and scuba on their love.
The time was approaching for the most awaited moment by everyone. Yean changed into a lighter weight, cream see through dress, no sleeve with lace, sequins and canutillo details and Ben into a black tuxedo and to their profound wedding inspiration they scuba on to the underwater wedding ceremony. It was epic!
One hour passed and everyone was thrilled by the experience. A feeling of satisfaction was the flavor of the day and one surprise left to go for the newlyweds.
